Women seem to really approve of cheating men. This is self-evident, since if they didn't, there wouldn't be any cheating men.
Lately in the news is Newt Gingrich and his baggage. Why would his current wife play patty cake with him when he was still married to someone else, and then top it off by thinking he was a good catch to marry herself?
Of course, it isn't just Newt. Lots of women have affairs with married men and then marry those same men as if his cheating credentials are a plus.
Other then the recognition that all women are technically insane, I don't understand this behavior at all.
Maybe one of you can 'splain it.

Yep. Sums it up. That and them more chicks a guy has bagged the higher his sexual status so, if he's banging the hoe of the hour she thinks she must rate pretty high on the scale as well.

Sadly it goes both ways. Sleaze isn't gender specific. Try to picture this: a world where men so despise cheating, that women have nobody to cheat with.

sadly, it does NOT go both ways: a woman can have sex any time by saying yes; men are forced to pay for it one way or another. Usually as "success objects" (counter to sex objects).
This does not discount or disavow your premise, that women are FKIN nuts.
A lot of women get off on mate poaching. You know, preselection and all that. Plus, a lot of people (men and women) prefer fooling around with married people when they can, because there's a lot less maintenance involved than there would be with a spouse or live-in lover.

By that reasoning, if men disapproved of women who cheat, there wouldn't be any cheating women.
Some of us are FKIN nuts, and logical too. Kind of like serial killers.
There is some confusion there. I shall elucidate.
These are the possible cases I am referring to:
1. A married man has an affair with a single women.
2. A married man is having an affair with a married woman.
3. A single mam is having an affair with a married woman.
In each case, the single person may be ignorant of the true status of the cheater. If that is the case, then it is outside the parameters of this discussion since it can be assumed that the single person innocently believes the other is single, so there is no intentionally selecting a cheater.
The case of a single man pursuing a married woman is also outside the bounds since it is a rare occurring that such a man will want to break up the woman's marriage and then marry her himself. He will be fine with cheating, but he does not make the mistake that a cheating woman is a good Long term partner.
Only in the first case so we see women intentionally selecting married men with the intention of wanting to keep them. That is the case that is the most curious. She knows up front that he is a lying cheating sack of shit and still wants to settle down with him as the next victim of his lying and cheating. If there were no women in this category, then the only cheating men there could be would be those who pretended to be single. Eventually, the truth about them would come out and the woman would reject him.
The question is, Why are there women who intentionally select cheating men for long term partners? This is not the same question as "why do women cheat", or "why so men like slutty women".
Because The Wife is a cold, distant, shrewish bitch who doesn't understand him, while with Herself, it is True Love, her Soulmate.

This. Men who cheat with married women don't generally find her a good candidate for a potential wife. It happens of course (there are clueless men walking around as well), but more often single men cheat with married women precisely because there's no expectation that she can ever be his wife.
There really is no rational explanation for it.
Hey I learned a few things at the Game blogs. Justin has it right. Apparently some women do not see things as applying to themselves equally.
"He would never cheat on me because I'm a special snowflake", said while he is cheating on someone else with her.
Apparently some men think that too. One of my college roomates married a woman that he started dating while she was estranged yet still married to another man. I have not been in contact but I think he's on wife number 2 now.
I admit, I don't understand the logic myself, but love shuts down the brain.
One word: solipsism. This is why so many women think they can change a man who is a borderline sociopath into a good lover AND good provider. A solipsistic mind, which quite a lot of women have, is simply incapable of letting the real world govern how they view themselves relative to the world.
Women like cheaters because they are jealous individuals and covet anything they perceive themselves more worthy of.
